Platform Development
We build platforms organisations can live with for years. SaaS, internal tools, marketplaces, admin systems. Concept phase defines scope, then a fixed price.
When requirements outgrow a marketing site — user accounts, custom workflows, database-driven content, permission systems — you’re in platform territory. And platforms are different: they grow with you for years, they replace spreadsheets or third-party tools, they need to take privacy and scale into account from day one.
We’ve been doing this since 2018. Log+Key — our own SaaS platform for inventory management — is live with 70+ customers today. That platform experience flows into every client project.
How we work
Platform projects always start with a concept phase. 2–3 intense days in which we sort requirements with your team, write an architecture concept, and estimate effort. The output is a concept document you keep — even if you work with a different agency afterwards. Costs €1,800 plus VAT.
When the concept stands, we calculate the main project: fixed price per phase, with clear delivery dates. Typical phases are MVP (Minimum Viable Product, 3–4 months), scaling, special features. You don’t have to buy it all at once.
What we care about
- Boring tech over the trendy stack. We pick tools that will still run in five years. Directus, NestJS, Vue/Nuxt qualify.
- EU hosting, GDPR-by-design. We build what we’d recommend to you anyway.
- No microservices without a reason. Platforms are often best served by a well-structured monolith with clean internal seams.
- Our own products prove the model. Log+Key, FleetBench, AeroAlliance are all built this way.
What’s included (typical)
- Concept phase (2–3 days, billed separately)
- Architecture, data model, API design
- Frontend (web app, optional mobile PWA)
- Backend (REST/GraphQL, auth, permissions)
- DevOps (deployment, monitoring, backups)
- Documentation for your operations team
- Training / onboarding materials

FAQ
- Why not jump straight to a fixed price?
- Platforms are never what they look like at the start. A 2–3 day concept phase finds the real requirements; then a fixed price becomes possible.
- How long does a project run?
- First productive version (MVP) typically 3–4 months. Full platform with multi-user, permissions, reports: 6–12 months.
- And operations?
- We've run Log+Key ourselves for 7 years — clients get the same standard. Hosting, monitoring, backups, updates as a retainer.
